Welcome to the collaborative learning activity for surviving at sea.
Experience the process of making rational decisions based on given information (expert knowledge), and develop collaborative skills to achieve the best results through discussion with team members.
[Activity 1] Form Individual Opinions: Enter your team and name, and choose a field of expertise. Rank the necessary survival items based on the expert knowledge you've acquired.
[Activity 2] Coordinate Team Opinions: Share and discuss your rankings and reasoning with your team members. Through discussion, decide on your team's final ranking.
[Check Results] Compare your individual and team rankings with the Coast Guard expert's answers, and reflect on a better decision-making process.
The effectiveness of collaboration increases when team members choose different areas of expertise. Instead of insisting on your own opinion, try to make rational decisions by respecting and listening to the expertise of other team members.

The final score is calculated by summing the absolute differences between the expert rankings and your rankings.
(e.g., Expert 1st, My 3rd β 2 points / Expert 8th, My 2nd β 6 points) (Total Score: 2+6 = 8 points)
The lower the score, the higher the chance of survival!
Writing a 'reason' for each item's rank is an important part of showing your logical thinking process.
Since this is a class activity, you must write down why you think so.
Your written reasons will be crucial evidence for persuading your teammates later.
When you select a role, you will gain that role's experience and knowledge.
Role knowledge is just fragmentary information about survival. Just because a specific item is mentioned doesn't mean it's necessarily a high-priority item; it could even be a low-priority one.
The expert's correct ranking does not change regardless of which role you choose.

Listen to and respect your teammates' opinions until they are finished.
When making a claim, clearly explain your reasoning by starting with 'because'.
It's important to confidently share your opinion with supporting reasons, rather than just listening quietly.
If you disagree, try to persuade with valid reasons instead of emotional criticism.
Work together to find the best way for your team to survive!
